beIN SPORTS Locks Formula 1 Asia Rights Through 2030

beIN SPORTS has secured a five-year extension to its exclusive broadcast rights for Formula 1 in ten Asian territories, guaranteeing coverage through the end of the 2030 season. This renewal maintains beIN SPORTS as the premier destination for Formula 1 fans in key markets across Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

The deal encompasses countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, and Timor-Leste, solidifying beIN SPORTS’ commitment to delivering Formula 1 content to a rapidly growing fanbase in these regions.

Strengthening Partnerships Amid Growing Regional Interest

The renewed agreement reflects Formula 1’s expanding popularity in Asia, where viewership has experienced steady double-digit growth in recent years. The partnership confirms beIN SPORTS’ strategic role in engaging new and existing audiences with high-quality sports content.

We are delighted to extend and expand our partnership as we continue to grow the sport and attract new audiences,

Holmes said.

Mike Kerr, managing director of beIN Asia Pacific, emphasized the importance of fan engagement in both the renewal and ongoing collaboration, adding:

This renewal reflects our shared commitment with Formula 1 to keep fans at the heart of everything we do.

We continue to elevate the fan experience across every screen through deeper access and wider coverage,

Kerr stated.

Plans to Integrate Premium Digital Streaming Services

Looking ahead, beIN SPORTS and Formula 1 intend to integrate F1 TV, the sport’s premium over-the-top (OTT) streaming service, within beIN’s existing digital platforms. This upcoming integration aims to simplify access for the estimated 447 million Formula 1 enthusiasts across the region, although specific technical details will be announced at a later date.

Anticipating the 2026 Formula 1 Season Changes

As part of this extended partnership, beIN SPORTS will continue to serve as the primary broadcaster throughout the upcoming 2026 Formula 1 season, which promises historic changes. New sporting and technical regulations will be introduced, while two new manufacturers, Audi and Cadillac, will join the grid, enhancing competition.

The 2026 calendar is set to hit a record 24 races, including the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix, which will be hosted in Madrid, marking a significant milestone for the sport’s European presence.

Implications for Sports Viewership and Industry Growth

This extension not only secures beIN SPORTS’ foothold in a dynamic sports broadcasting market but also supports Formula 1’s objectives to broaden its fanbase and modernize how audiences consume racing content. The move could potentially accelerate digital engagement and expand sponsorship opportunities throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

With the Formula 1 Asia Broadcast Extension, fans in the included regions can expect comprehensive coverage and improved viewing experiences as the sport evolves in the coming years.
