23XI Racing confirmed that Corey Heim, who began last year as the team’s inaugural development driver, will compete in a significantly larger number of NASCAR Cup Series races during the 2026 season. After participating in five Cup Series events last year and playing an active role in race preparation and analysis, Heim is set to nearly triple his Cup Series starts. This expansion follows his success in claiming the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship.
Strategic Development and Planned Race Schedule
Maintaining a careful, long-term development strategy, 23XI Racing will emphasize Heim’s growth across diverse track types in 2026. His schedule will commence with an attempt to qualify for the prestigious Daytona 500. From April through July, the No. 67 Toyota Camry XSE team will contest seven races. Heim is also slated for three races during the NASCAR Playoffs, including the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Notably, Heim has previously won Truck Series races on five of the ten tracks included in his upcoming Cup schedule, reflecting familiarity and potential competitive advantage.
Even on race weekends when he is not competing, Heim will remain engaged in all facets of team operations, contributing to race analysis and preparation efforts.
