Henderson Racing is set to make a strong return to Daytona, with Corey LaJoie behind the wheel, continuing the team’s commitment to one of motorsports’ most legendary tracks. This Daytona effort highlights the team’s dedication to its heritage and ambition to compete at the highest level once more.
Supporting the entry are key sponsors including Built.com, Alliance Driveaway Solutions, and Kingdom Truck Sales, who will back Henderson Racing’s entry in the Daytona Truck series.
Family Leadership Drives the Team Forward
The announcement is especially meaningful to the family-operated team, now managed by founders Charlie Henderson’s children, Don Henderson and Debbie Henderson-Creasy. As co-owners, they strive to uphold Henderson Racing’s traditions while steering it toward future success.
Last year, Parker Kligerman took Henderson Racing to the checkered flag at Daytona, only to have the victory rescinded after NASCAR’s inspection found a ride-height infraction. The team formally appealed the decision but ultimately accepted the ruling.
We won that race on the track,
said Debbie Henderson-Creasy, co-owner of Henderson Racing.
We went through the appeal process. We respected the decision. But that experience stays with you—and it fuels you.
Honoring Founder Charlie Henderson’s Legacy Amid Challenges
Following the contentious Daytona event, the team faced a profound loss when founder Charlie Henderson passed away last June. His death raised doubts about the team’s future, yet Henderson Racing completed the season, honoring both their commitments and Charlie Henderson’s enduring legacy.

My dad believed in finishing what you start,
Henderson-Creasy remarked.
He taught us resilience & grit.
Corey LaJoie Brings Superspeedway Expertise to the Team
Corey LaJoie, a skilled superspeedway driver recognized for strong performances at Daytona including a top-five in the Daytona 500, will pilot the Henderson Racing entry. LaJoie’s experience and competitive nature are seen as valuable assets for the team’s Daytona campaign.
He expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Henderson and crew chief Chris Carrier.
It’s been fun putting this deal together for many reasons. First being, Parker is a good friend and it’s cool to put up the baton from him where he left off last year. Debbie Henderson-Creasy and Chris Carrier have the passion to continue Charlie’s legacy with Henderson Motorsports and there’s no better place to do that than the World Center of Racing. Lastly, to involve longtime friends and partners in Built.com as well as Alliance Driveaway really makes it a family outing. Ready to go put the 75 in the wind and see what we’ve got.
Seasoned Crew Chief Chris Carrier Leads the Effort
Veteran crew chief Chris Carrier will maintain his role calling the shots for Henderson Motorsports at Daytona. His experience and leadership are crucial for the team as they aim to compete at the front.
This team is moving forward to race competitively at Daytona with great people, great driver, great sponsorship and ownership from great history in this business of stock car racing. I am anxious to see what we can do at Daytona!
Daytona: A Symbol of Resilience and Ambition
For Henderson Racing, returning to Daytona embodies both a tribute to their past and a declaration of determination to remain a force in NASCAR. The team’s persistence, driven by family leadership and promising talent like Corey LaJoie, signals a hopeful and competitive outlook for their next chapter.
