HaasFormula 1driver Esteban Ocon has invited his fans to create the design for his helmet at the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix. Scheduled to take place in São Paulo from November 7 to 9, the event will feature Ocon wearing a fan-designed helmet, with submissions accepted until August 31.
Recalling a Memorable 2024 Podium at Interlagos
The invitation comes after Ocon’s remarkable podium finish at the 2024 race alongside then Alpine teammate Pierre Gasly. Both Frenchdrivers secured positions on the podium, with Ocon finishing second and Gasly third, sandwiching Max Verstappen to deliver Alpine’s first double podium in recent years.
Reflecting on his connection to the circuit, Ocon shared,
“As you know, Brazil means a lot to me, you know, Interlagos,”
in an Instagram video. He described the strong support he receives from fans and the lasting memories from previous races there.
He added,
“And so, I got a little surprise for you guys, something special that I wanted to do for a long time. So I decided that you can design my helmet for the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix.”
Following the design submissions, Ocon will pick his preferred helmet artwork to sport throughout the whole Grand Prix weekend.
Ocon’s Transition to Haas and Reflections on Alpine Departure
This upcoming season marks Ocon’s first with Haas after he left Alpine at the end of 2024. Currently ranked tenth in the driver standings, the 28-year-old Frenchman recently opened up about his split from Alpine, citing fundamental disagreements that prompted the move.
When asked about Alpine’s ongoing challenges in the 2025 season, Ocon said,

“You never smile to see someone struggling,”
showing empathy despite the split.
He explained his motivation to join Haas:
“I took my decision and it was clear that we were not aiming for the same things with the team, and that I needed a new challenge. We were not going to go forward together. We didn’t agree on so many things.”
Ocon acknowledged Alpine’s competitiveness on certain circuits, noting,
“They’ve been quick in Bahrain and some of the tracks… In one race, you can recover the deficit you have. So even though they’re last now, it doesn’t mean that’s where they’ll finish.”
Regarding his future at Haas, he expressed confidence, saying,
“We need to keep an eye on everyone and do the best we can on our side. But yeah, I definitely feel good here. As I said, Alpine will always remain a special place in my heart – having the winning car at home, and what we’ve achieved together. But for sure, we will erase the late part of my career there.”
Looking Ahead: Fan Engagement and Season Expectations
Ocon’s initiative to involve fans in designing his helmet reflects both his close bond with Brazilian supporters and an eagerness to start a new chapter with Haas. This gesture adds excitement to the build-up for the São Paulo race, where the Frenchdriver hopes to replicate or improve upon his previous success. The creative collaboration emphasizes his gratitude toward fans while setting the stage for a fresh challenge amid the ongoing uncertainties of the 2025 F1 season.
