Jack Perkins will compete in the Mustang Cup Series this season, supported by Shaw & Partners and Triple Eight, driving the famed #888 Mustang. The car will be managed by HMO Customer Racing, the team known for securing three TCR Australia titles with Hyundais.
Recently, Perkins spent time at Sydney Motorsport Park, testing the Mustang Supercar provided by Objective Racing during a multi-team ride day. Tonight, he will pilot the Mustang Cup vehicle at the pre-season launch and test event of the new single-make series.
Perkins Shares Enthusiasm for the Mustang Cup Opportunity
Perkins expressed his excitement about joining the inaugural Ford Mustang Cup Australia with the backing of Shaw and Partners Financial Services. He extended gratitude to Earl Evans for providing the new Mustang Dark Horse R for this season’s campaign.

Jack Perkins, who boasts a career including a Supercars race win and a Bathurst 1000 podium, becomes the first high-profile driver confirmed for Mustang Cup Australia. The series benefits from strong Ford support, with vehicles that Perkins describes as “pretty awesome.”

Perkins commented.
He praised the design work by Peter Hughes on the #888 Mustang and thanked HMO Customer Racing for their efforts in preparing the car. Perkins is aiming for competitive success from the outset.

The Mustang Cup Season Kicks Off in March
