KTM Teams Up with MOTOREX for a Game-Changing 2026 MotoGP Ride

In a significant development for the upcoming 2026 MotoGP season, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has confirmed a multi-year partnership with Swiss lubricant expert MOTOREX. This collaboration aims to enhance the performance, reliability, and technical evolution of KTM’s race machines, particularly the RC16, in the world’s premier motorcycle racing championship.

The partnership builds on a longstanding connection between KTM and MOTOREX, with the Swiss brand set to supply high-grade lubricants, as well as cleaning and maintenance products. This integration focuses on optimizing mechanical durability, thermal management, and friction reduction—factors that are critical during the intense, physically demanding race weekends of MotoGP.

Technical Collaboration Rooted in Longstanding History

MOTOREX and KTM’s relationship dates back to 2003, extending through diverse motorbike disciplines like off-road racing, motocross, rallying, and junior Grand Prix categories. Their cooperative efforts have already yielded success in Moto2 and Moto3, highlighted by a Moto3 world championship title in 2025. Now, both organizations are elevating their partnership to tackle the highest echelon of motorcycle racing together.

KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer expressed confidence in this progression:

“MOTOREX has been a trusted partner of KTM for more than two decades,”

he said.

“Bringing this cooperation into MotoGP is a natural step. Their technical expertise matches exactly what we need at this level.”

MOTOREX Views MotoGP as the Ultimate Test Environment

For MOTOREX, MotoGP offers an unparalleled platform to push technology to its absolute limits. The collaboration includes continuous development and data exchange focused on coping with the extreme heat, mechanical stress, and demanding loads unique to premier-class racing.

Andreas Vetter, Head of Powersports at MOTOREX, highlighted this opportunity:

“MotoGP is the perfect environment to develop and test our technologies under extreme conditions,”

“We share the same focus on engineering excellence and performance.”

His remarks underscore the mutual commitment both companies have to innovation and precision engineering within MotoGP.

Racing Line-Up Strengthened by Technical Edge

KTM’s 2026 team will feature a combination of young talent and experienced riders, with Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder forming a dynamic duo. The addition of MOTOREX’s expertise behind the scenes promises to sharpen KTM’s competitive edge even further, emphasizing that championship success in MotoGP relies heavily on fine technical details as much as rider skill.
