Lando Norris’ Girlfriend Exposes Shocking Death Threats Online

Margarida Corceiro, widely known as Magui and the girlfriend of 2025 Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris, revealed on February 1, 2026, that she has been receiving death threats and abusive messages on Instagram. The Portuguese actress and model shared screen recordings of offensive messages sent in Bulgarian, exposing a disturbing pattern of harassment that began in September 2025 and has continued into early 2026.

The messages appeared in response to her Instagram stories, as a user repeatedly sent aggressive threats. When translated into English, these messages contained serious and frightening language. In response, Margarida warned the sender about the possible legal ramifications of their actions, emphasizing the criminal nature of threatening someone’s life online.

“Girl, this is not ok. What you’re doing is scary and it’s a crime. Threatening someone’s life is serious and can have real legal consequences. I don’t know what you’re going through, but taking your anger out on a stranger is not the answer. I won’t accept abuse, and I won’t engage with hate. This message is being documented. I hope you choose to do better,” responded Margarida Corceiro

Following this, the user claimed their account had been hacked and denied responsibility for the threatening messages.

“I’m so so so sorry this account was hacked a while ago and I didn’t really have access to it. I promise I didn’t write ANY of these messages and I can reassure you I wouldn’t ever write something like this. I got this account back yesterday. I hope you can believe me,” responded the user

Alongside the screen recording, Margarida posted a powerful caption rejecting this form of abuse and calling for an end to the normalization of online death threats.

“I think it’s time to stop normalizing online death threats. This crosses a line. I won’t stay silent about this.”

She further released a statement condemning harassment, emphasizing that behind every online interaction is a real person affected by words and abuse.

“Online hate, harassment, and death threats are not “part of the internet.” They are serious forms of abuse and criminal behavior. Behind every screen is a real person. Words do real harm. No form of harassment is acceptable – threats and intimidation especially cross a line. I will no longer normalize this behavior. I choose to speak up and set boundaries. We can do better.”

Public scrutiny over broadcast focus on partners in F1 garages

Following the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz criticized the F1 broadcast team for prioritizing shots of drivers’ partners in the garage over important race moments, including the tense pursuit between Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton amid the latter’s late brake failure. The coverage often featured WAGs such as Margarida Corceiro and Sainz’s partner, Rebecca Donaldson, drawing backlash from fans who felt crucial race action was missed.

In response to the criticism about WAG coverage, Margarida spoke openly in November 2025 about her role as a public figure associated with Lando Norris. She emphasized that her presence at races is about supporting the driver, not about her involvement in the sport or media coverage.

“I don’t feel any pressure from being a public figure. I’m there to support someone. I have nothing to do with that. I don’t know anything about cars. I’m good for nothing other than supporting someone,” said Lando Norris’ girlfriend (via Jornal de Noticias)

“Am I affected when people say I’m filmed more than the cars? No, because I don’t call the cameras. I have nothing to do with that, it’s not my job or my area. If they record me, they record me. If they don’t record me, it doesn’t matter. Obviously there are many cameras everywhere, but sometimes I don’t realise if I’m being recorded or not.” added Magui

Shared moments as supporters of a championship-winning career

Since their relationship was first noticed at the 2024 Monte Carlo Masters and the Monaco Grand Prix, Margarida Corceiro has become a familiar face in the paddock and McLaren garage. Over the following months, their appearances together, including a public kiss at the Hungarian GP, confirmed their relationship to fans.

Margarida, who also holds a significant social media presence with over 2.5 million Instagram followers, accompanied Norris to key events such as the final race of the 2025 season and the FIA Gala in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Their public appearances highlight the support Margarida provides to Norris as he builds on his success as a young British driver.
