“And, I look at my Dad and I said, ‘Do you think that’s a hockey player and a race car driver? Cause if that’s the case, I will marry that guy.’”
Her father’s response was casual: “Oh, whatever.”
That day, Decker was racing against Derek’s father. Afterward, Lemke messaged her on Instagram with the remark, “Call me when you’re 18.”
