Balancing Motherhood and Motorsport Ambitions

During an appearance on Wake Up America, Decker discussed the challenges of returning to the track while managing her responsibilities as a new mother. She emphasized the critical role of her support system in maintaining this balance.

Well, the big thing is truly, I have such a good support system,

Decker explained.

It really does take a village to raise a child, and I have my parents helping me, my husband. We work together as a family in racing. And same thing with Levi. There’s just so much support and love, and I wouldn’t be able to do it without them.

Strong History and Fondness for Daytona Speedway

Daytona holds a special place in Decker’s racing journey, backing her comfort and experience at the venue. She has participated in three NASCAR Truck Series races at Daytona, achieving a top-five and another top-20 finish. Beyond trucks, she has also competed in the Xfinity Series at the track four times, including a top-20 result during the 2024 season. About her connection to Daytona, Decker shared,

Yes. It’s my favorite track. I love Daytona. It was the first race I did back when I was 6 months postpartum, and now it will be my second race back after having Levi. So, it’s so much fun. The drafting, the high-speed, all of it. I’m just so excited. It’s really one of my favorites.

Upcoming Daytona Race Set for Valentine’s Day

Decker’s upcoming return at Daytona is scheduled for February 14, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. She confirmed via Instagram that she will compete in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season opener at Daytona, with sponsorship support from TMS Dickinson’s.
