Max Anstie Undergoes Emergency Appendix Surgery After Seattle SX

A few days after earning the holeshot, leading multiple laps, and securing third place in the 250SX main event at the Seattle SX, Max Anstie was rushed into emergency appendix surgery. The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider achieved his first podium finish since winning the Anaheim 1 SX opener just before requiring the urgent operation earlier this week. During his post-race interviews on Saturday, Anstie had mentioned struggling with a cough.

Current Championship Standings and Recent Performance

In the 250SX West Division Championship, Max Anstie has recorded finishes of 1-5-6-6-8-3 across the opening six rounds, positioning him second overall in the points race. He trails Deegan by 35 points while holding a narrow lead of one point over a tie between Michael Mosiman and Ryder DiFrancesco. The competition resumes with the Birmingham SX East/West Showdown slated for March 21.
