Noah Gragson Jokes About Chase Briscoe’s Thinning Hair

NASCAR drivers have been teasing Chase Briscoe about his hair thinning, with Front Row Motorsports’ Noah Gragson recently sharing a Toy Story meme poking fun at Briscoe’s receding hairline. The joke came ahead of the NASCAR Cup race at Phoenix Raceway on March 8, reflecting the playful camaraderie among drivers

Briscoe, who drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, has taken these teases in stride. He has previously joked publicly about his hair, even sharing a fabricated image joking about joining the “bald community” like fellow racer Joey Logano.

On the day of the Phoenix event, Gragson posted a still image of Woody from the Toy Story series with the caption,

“My friend who always wears a hat,”

targeting Briscoe’s habit of covering his thinning hair.

“My friend who always wears a hat,”

Briscoe admitted that shaving his head completely might be inevitable.

“It’s going to happen at some point. It’s inevitable. I’ve been going bald forever, it’s going to happen. … I might do it over the offseason. I might randomly show up one week this summer with it all cut off. But it’s going to happen at some point, I can assure you,” Briscoe said during media session at Daytona.

Briscoe and Gragson Spend Time Together in Las Vegas Ahead of Upcoming Race

Earlier in the week, Chase Briscoe joined Noah Gragson for a series of events in Las Vegas, the hometown of Gragson, ahead of the Pennzoil 400 scheduled at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 15, 2026. They attended an indoor karting event at K1 Speed and visited several local community locations including Aggie Roberts Elementary School, Nellis Air Force Base, and Sunrise Children’s Hospital.

“I love getting to come back home and spend time in Las Vegas. … Hopefully put on a great show for my hometown,” Noah Gragson said.

Briscoe reflected on racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which he described as a challenging and underrated track. Last season, he finished fourth there during the playoffs.

“Las Vegas Motor Speedway is very underrated and doesn’t get talked about enough. The corners are super tricky, and it really makes for a great racetrack. Over the years, it’s turned into one of the best tracks we go to on the schedule,” Chase Briscoe said.

Race Starting Positions Announced Ahead of Phoenix Raceway Event

For the Sunday Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway, Briscoe earned a spot starting in the tenth row by posting the 20th-fastest lap in qualifying, positioning him in the mid-pack for the race. Gragson qualified further back in 35th place. Joey Logano secured the pole position, with Kyle Larson and Austin Cindric filling the front rows.

Significance and Upcoming Prospects in the NASCAR Season

The exchange between Gragson and Briscoe highlights the lighthearted rivalries that make NASCAR compelling for fans, while also showing the pressures and personal challenges drivers face behind the scenes. Briscoe’s openness about his hair loss adds a relatable human element to the sport.
