Oscar Piastri is an Australian Formula One driver competing for McLaren. Born 6 April 2001 in Melbourne, he is the only driver to win the Formula Renault Eurocup, FIA Formula 3 Championship, and FIA Formula 2 Championship in successive seasons. He joined McLaren in 2023, claiming his maiden Grand Prix victory at the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix and adding wins in Azerbaijan, China, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Miami, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Carrying number 81 from his karting career, Piastri emerged as a 2025 title contender with multiple victories and pole positions, placing him in a three-way championship battle alongside McLaren teammate Lando Norris and Max Verstappen.
